Our Teacher Training Course is led by expert teacher and director of Himalaya Yoga Valley, Yogacharya Lalit Kumar who has been practicing yoga for over 25 years. The 500 Hour Course is a continuation of the 200 Hour syllabuses at an advanced level. The Course is unique in its concept, allowing trainee teachers the opportunity to develop a body of knowledge around a specialized area of yoga they are interested in pursuing. In parallel, a strong emphasis is placed on developing advanced teaching techniques and at the same time developing personal practice. The 500 Hr Course is an all-encompassing training program. Himalaya Yoga Valley Centre is located in the area of Mandrem, which is a small local community in the municipality of Pernem North Goa. The local community is centred around traditional farming land and fishing. The community maintains its local charm, peace and tranquility despite increased tourism in the past several years. Himalaya Yoga Valley is well known and established within the community, having been here for the past 10 years and the locals always have a warm welcome for our yoga trainees and Retreat guests. Mandrem beach village is approximately 10 minute walk from the Centre and boasts a beautiful long sandy beach on the Arabian sea. The gentle glow of the early sunrises and the evening sunsets on the Arabian Sea are memorable.
