About Company

Disha Charitable was founded in the year 1999 by Mrs. Prabha Mehta a writer, academician and social activist. She along with a committed group of professionals started an Information, Guidance and Referral Centre to serve Persons with disabilities and their families. Special School and Autism Centre was started by Disha in the year 2000.As the organisation grew, a professional Board of Management was constituted in 2005 to oversee the activities under the leadership of Mr. N. K. Chawla, Management Consultant Chairman/Director of Co-operatives and PSUs.The board comprises of eminent persons and professionals and follows all the norms of good governance, transparency, accountability and selfless service to the society.Disha Charitable Trust Disha Special School & Autism Centre, Therapy Centre and other related activities are provided at 62, Sampatrao Colony, Alkapuri, Vadodara.Disha Staff comprises of Special Educators, Psychologist, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapist, music, dance and art teachers, trainers and volunteers.
