He is a Post Graduate Medical teache presently teaching in Sri Ramachandra Medical College, Chennai as a visiting Prof of Gastroenterology and doing his consultation practice at Madurai. He was instrumental to start DM course in the college on which he continues to teach as visiting professor. He had been a Post Graduate examiner for various Medical colleges and Universities in India for the past two decades. He is a member of various medical associations and had served as National President, Indian Society of Gastroenterology in 2000-2001. He had been a visiting Prof for Benaras Hindu University, Varanasi, P GJ, Chandigarh and Medical expert for AIIMS, New Delhi. Though he is not a psychologist or psychiatrist, he established his own technique of counseling for the persons truly suffering from stress induced functional gastro intestinal problems like non ulcer dyspepsia; unexplained pain abdomen; belching; burning sense in chest and abdomen; irritable bowel disorders etc thus he is forced to discuss "Medical Aspects of Stress Management".
