Since 1929, Mr. Mehtab Uddin Hashmi has established The Hashmi Dawakhana in India. In India, unani method of medicines has introduced by the Arabians, and soon it took firm heredity in the earth. When Mongols ravaged Persian and central Asian cities, the scholars and physicians of unani medicine fled to India. The Delhi sultans, the Khiljis, the Tughlaqs and the Mughal emperors provided state support to the scholars and even enrolled some as state employees and court physicians.
