Product Description

Reflexology, or zone therapy, is an alternative medicine involving the physical act of applying pressure to the feet, hands, or ears with specific thumb, finger, and hand techniques without the use of oil or lotion. It is based on what reflexologists claim to be a system of zones and reflex areas that they say reflect an image of the body on the feet and hands, with the premise that such work effects a physical change to the body. A systematic review of randomised controlled trials concludes that "The best evidence available to date does not demonstrate convincingly that reflexology is an effective treatment for any medical condition." There is no consensus among reflexologists on how reflexology is supposed to work; a unifying theme is the idea that areas on the foot correspond to areas of the body, and that by manipulating these one can improve health through one's qi. Reflexologists divide the body into ten equal vertical zones, five on the right and five on the left. Concerns have been raised by medical professionals that treating potentially serious illnesses with reflexology, which has no proven efficacy, could delay the seeking of appropriate medical treatment.

About Company

Beauty has always been an integral part of human nature – even right from Ancient Egyptian era. In fact, Egyptians had beauty parlors dating back to 4000 BC! Over decades the concept of beauty might have changed and evolved but beauty clinics were not as much a necessity then as now. Today, the problems of modern life like stress, pollution and lifestyle has lead to the need for dedicated centres which can nourish your skin and hair healthily and give them the care they deserve. Hair is our body’s barometer and skin is our largest breathing organ. So the healthiness of your skin & hair has come to reflect your inner beauty – your moods, temperaments, lifestyle and attitude. So let’s enhance your reflection to perfection and make you feel like a true Diva through our expertise and latest technology of beauty care at Body Edge. Body Egde provides you with the opportunity to experience a healthy, friendly way to unwind at the end of a long day—the relaxation that only hydrotherapy can provide. Whether alone, as a couple, with friends, or family, the spa experience gives you a chance to let go of everyday stress leaving you feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. We're here to help you find that calm in the middle of the storm. Acupuncture originates from China and has been practiced there for thousands of years. Although there are records of acupuncture being used hundreds of years ago in Europe, it was during the second half of the twentieth century it began to spread rapidly in Western Europe, the United States and Canada. Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin needles through the patient's skin at specific points on the body - the needles are inserted to various depths. We are not sure how acupuncture works scientifically. However, we do know that it does have some therapeutic benefits, including pain relief and alleviation from nausea caused by chemotherapy. According to traditional Chinese medical theory, acupuncture points are located on meridians through which gi vital energy runs. There is no histological, anatomical or scientific proof that these meridians or acupuncture points exist. Acupuncture remains controversial among Western medical doctors and scientists. Creating case studies that use proper scientific controls is difficult because of the invasive nature of acupuncture - a clinical study involves a placebo (sham product) compared to the targeted treatment. Body Edge follows the tradition & gives the best.
